LaSalle University, Class of 2027
As my marketing and public relations internship at The Communication Solutions Group comes to an end, I’ve been reflecting on just how amazing and helpful this experience has been. Last semester, I decided to add a Communication minor, and this internship quickly confirmed that it was the right choice. Each week brought something different, whether I was learning new skills, sitting in on client meetings, or getting involved with creative projects. Through it all, I discovered how much I enjoy working in a field that blends creativity and purpose.
What I Learned
Throughout this internship, I developed a wide range of skills that I know I will carry with me into future roles. I learned how to design graphics tailored to different audiences, including volunteer fire departments, school districts, and even a real estate company. I also helped plan and schedule social media content using editorial calendars and gained experience writing and editing press releases. On top of that, I had the opportunity to further build my skills in social media advertising and editing for both client-facing platforms and internal campaigns.
Favorite Experiences
I really enjoyed all of the experiences at The Communication Solutions Group. One was with the Bristol Township School District, where I had the opportunity to attend a Black History Month event hosted by the African American Historical and Cultural Society of Bucks County. We visited to document the event through photos and interviews with students. It was an inspiring day, and I helped take pictures and sat in on recorded interviews that were later shared with the school board in a video. It felt incredible to be part of something that celebrated both culture and education.

Another favorite experience was with Quinn & Wilson Realtors, where I helped Communication Solutions’ Digital Marketing Manager, Jess, with an Oscar-themed competition for realtors. The goal was to encourage agents to practice filming and editing listing videos for social media. I captured photos and produced a recap video for social media. Sitting in on the planning process showed me how strategy and creativity work hand-in-hand, and it was a really fun and engaging project to be part of.
Final Thoughts
I’m so grateful for the team at The Communication Solutions Group for welcoming me, teaching me, and giving me the space to grow. This internship not only gave me the chance to explore different sides of marketing and PR, it confirmed for me that this is the field I want to be in. I’m excited to continue using the skills I’ve learned here in my future classes, projects, and career opportunities. Thank you again for such a great experience!
